When .GIFfany is stalking Soos in the body of an animatronic beaver, her digital form is shown mirroring her movement on the arcade games behind her, similar to the moments of The Mirror Shows Your True Self in Perfect Blue. When .GIFfany mentions “deleting” her programmers, the display she shows mimics the style and animation of the Aperture Science staff information videos from Portal. Two of the background characters have visible colored irises. One is a Mystery Shack customer that was scared off by Soos and the other is a clerk at Beeply Boop’s. Some have compared Gravity Falls to more adult-oriented mystery shows like Lost, Twin Peaks and The X-Files. As the credits roll, images of Stan and Goldie are shown having a ball in Las Vegas. First in a limousine with beautiful show girls, then staying at a hotel and enjoying “rich people water” in a hot tub. They escape on a helicopter at some point , and then get married at a Las Vegas chapel by an Elvis Presley impersonator. Meanwhile, Stan begins to prepare to break into the same pizzeria, putting on gloves which he calls his old friends, and saying that he has to be careful this time to avoid any more “Colombian nights.” Wendy attempts to persuade him to change his mind, to no avail.
After it’s over, Dipper angrily tells them that it’s all left in the past, he shows every photos every memories like fixing photos with shaving their hairs. Dipper apologizes to his sister for leaving her so he can be Ford’s apprentice and promises that he’ll never leave her again. Realizing this, Mabel having a change of heart, decides to left the fantasy for reality. After she has no powers, her reign is over, the fantasy characters become furious, they transform into a demons as they chase them around. At Hoo-Ha’s, you can briefly see an arcade game called Virtual Owl Trowel, referring back to the odd infomercial for the Owl Trowel Grunkle Stan watched in the season 1 finale. The post-it note stuck to Romance Academy 7 has the emoticon for Flipping the Table (usually “(╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻”, but here written with a few Japanese characters), written below the part advising the game’s destruction.
